You may not be aware, but LED fixtures can be repaired. In most cases, it is possible to repair and will cost lower than acquire a new bulb. By repairing, you will have the same colour match and brightness.
Lumiterra repairs all light fixtures regardless of make, model, colour, shape. From burnt-out LEDs to LEDs that have been there for years and the strength has diminished. Is there colour variation or brightness between one or more fixtures?
In most cases, the LED will look undamaged. In this situation, the best to do is to go to a recognized test lab (as Lumiterra) to disassemble it, run tests, and find the trouble. The specialists will diagnose using advanced tools such as multimeters and colourmeters.
Why repair?
Repairing the existing LED fixture makes sound financial sense than replacing whole installations. Also, it is environmentally sound, save from going to landfill. Lumiterra is a strong proponent of the “right to repair”.
Colour Matching
Has this happened to you? One or two of the light fixture/LEDs have burnout. The lighting installations does not meet the effect it meant to. The special design and light distribution is off. To make matters more complex you are unable to find the same light fixture/LED.
At Lumiterra we can replace the missing light fixture/LED and match the colour to the ones that are still working. We use specialized colour matching technology that will match the existing light installation. The process starts by assessing the current colour, light pattern of the working fixtures. Source and replace the no longer working fixture/LED, test it that it works and return it to you for installation. A cost saving service that does not require to replace the entire installation. Converting your LED
You have older light fixtures that over time have become dangerous to operate because the electrical components are falling apart, wires have frayed or cracked making them a fire hazard. Or you would like to see if they can be upgraded to be more efficient and offer more efficient, better lighting.
The number one hazard when it comes to lighting is the emission of heat. LEDs emit almost no forward heat while traditional fixtures like incandescents convert more than 90% of the total energy used to power them directly into heat.
That means only 10% of the energy powering incandescent lights is actually used for light (which also makes them extremely inefficient compared to LEDs). Additionally, because LEDs consume less power they can operate effectively on low-voltage electrical systems. These are generally much safer in the event that something goes wrong.
Other important lesson it is the light ‘temperature’. This is measured in Kelvin, as you can see in the previous image.
